"Eco-bashi: ecological chopsticks" will be used instead of "Wari-bashi: disposable chopsticks."

"We intend to increase activities that concern the environment, and that make and keep this beautiful island, where people and Japanese Crested Ibises can live together." To celebrate the release of the Japanese Crested Ibises, "Misato-kai; the group of landladies of the island" decided not to use disposable chopsticks, wari-bashi, but to use "Eco-bashi", resinous chopsticks that can be used over and over with washing, at their hotels and ryokans. We ask the understanding and cooperation of everyone.
