Akadomari Port Festival
The main event of the Akadomari Festival held on the first Sunday in August is the sumo tournament carried out on a sumo ring that floats on the Sea of Japan， on which wrestlers slip and sway. There are lots of participants. The festival has many fun events， including cardboard boat races， a fireworks show in the cool of the summer evening， and folk song performances.
