There is a koi pond in the lobby garden. It's hard to imagine from the exterior of the hotel, but the inside of the hotel including all the rooms is Japanese style.

Works by the Kano School, which sent shockwaves through the Japanese painting world of sixteenth century and works by calligraphers of National Treasure caliber, are displayed. You can also see works by Shodo Sasaki, a local artist given the title of Living National Treasure who created the cresting of Imperial Palace's main building titled "Zuicho."

Rooms have either a view of the Japan Sea or the townscape of Aikawa. Rooms with open-air baths as well as Western style rooms are available.

Honoring the spirits of ancestors is a time-honored tradition of Japanese people. The room where the altar is kept is called "butsuma" or Buddhist altar (or spirit) room. You can see the hotel's butsuma if you ask them.
