The inn is located at the foot of the highest mountain on Sado, Kinbokuzan (Mt. Kinboku: Elevation 1,171.9 meters.) Dogs and goats roam around in their large grounds. Many of their guests are from overseas, and the inn is able to make special meals for people with allergies and those who are vegetarians. Late night check-ins are also available. The walls of the inn are decorated with photos of plants taken by the owner. It's a perfect place for nature lovers to stay in Sado.

One of the greatest feature of the inn is this shio-gama-buro. You lie down on the straw mat on the rock. It's a traditional Japanese-style sauna. Reading a book inside is a great pastime.

The owners Mr. and Mrs. Hirata. Mr. Hirata is also a trekking guide. Many of the guests are here for trekking.

Most of the rooms in the two building are Japanese style, though western style rooms are also available. The bucolic setting around the inn is one of the best places on the island to go for a stroll.

Goats are kept on the premises. Since they eat unwanted weeds and make milk, many families had goats in the past in Japan. These days, you hardly see them around.
