The first and second halves of the course are on a plain with rice paddies and no hills, making for a pleasant ride. There are some gravel paths, so if you are using a bicycle with narrow tires, it is better to get off and walk or take a detour.

    Sawata Beach

    The central part of Sado Island is home to many temples and shrines, and Myosenji Temple is one of them. It has the only five-story pagoda in Niigata Prefecture.

    Nabekura Waterfall

    This waterfall is said to be where Bungaku Shonin (a buddhist monk) practiced asceticism. There are well-maintained footpaths, but be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
