Shokoji Temple, close to Kita' birthplace in the Ryotsu Minato area, is a temple for deceased ancestors of the Kita family. His tomb is situated in the Aoyama Cemetary of Shokoji Temple, overlooking the rural landscape of Harakuro (Shiizaki). Although Kita Ikki was a leading thinker and socialist from the Meiji to early Showa times (early 20th century), many people still visit and lay flowers on his grave.

In front of Minami Ryokan lies the spacious Sumiyoshi Coast's sandy beach. The inn has a licence to participate in fish auctions, and seasonal fish is carefully selected at Ryotsu Market every morning. The inn serves dishes wholeheartedly prepared from seasonal, delicious mountain vegetables and Sado-grown rice. Jugetsukan hotel stands at the source of Sumiyoshi Onsen and Shiizaki Onsen hot springs, and offers hot spa bath with a continuous flow of hot spa water from the source. The inn faces the Ryotsu Bay with a view of the car ferries sailing. In front of the inn lies Sumiyoshi Coast known as a sea fishing spot. Meals provided are seafood dishes prepared from scrupulously selected fresh and flavourful ingredients unique to Sado. The sweet taste of Koshihikari rice which is wholeheartedly home-grown and completely granular is exceptionally delicious.

caMoco café Lake ASOBi is a boathouse on the shore of Lake Kamo. The 70-year-old boathouse was renovated, and the thick beams on the ceiling, which give a sense of strength, have been kept intact. The café offers a relaxed atmosphere with large windows overlooking Lake Kamo, and serves dishes that make use of local ingredients, such as pasta using oysters from Lake Kamo and a salmon lunch.

Yorokonde serves dishes prepared using carefully selected ingredients such as fresh fish sourced at local markets and Sado rice grown with heart-and-soul, as well as Sado's local sake. You can taste "Sattobi," a Sado specialty dish made from grounded flying fish, which originated at this restaurant. Yorokonde will satisfy every guest, whether from inside or outside Sado Island.
