Meotoiwa Drive-In is a roadside eatery right in front of the sight-seeing spot, Meotoiwa Rocks. There is also a good selection of souvenirs unique to Sado on offer. Squid preparation is a popular experience with entertaining instructions by the "Dried Squid Master". After the experience, you can take some dried squid home, a popular item at the souvenir shop. If you wish to have the one you prepared by yourself, the prepared squid can be dried and shipped to you at a later date.

With scenery of the Meotoiwa Rocks (husband and wife rocks), a symbol of Sado's Nanaura Coast, Hotel Meoto stands on the edge of surf. You can walk from the hotel in your swimsuit to the sea with a great scenic landscape, one of the reasons for the hotel's popularity. The glow of the Meotoiwa Rocks in the setting sun and the fires lit on the boats to lure fish at night are extraordinary sights. Famous dishes primarily of seafood are also served at the in-house restaurant at lunch time. Exhibitions on the premises including the display of antiques such as sea chests are also impressive.

Meotoiwa is two gigantic rocks considered to originate from a Japan's creation myth in an ancient book "Kojiki (Record of Ancient Matters)". On the right hand side is "husband" rock (22.6 meters high), and on the left hand side is "wife" rock (23.1 meters high). The rocks stands nestling up together, lapped by waves of Nanaura Coast. The rocks are said to bring luck in finding a partner. The surrounding area is spotted with rocky shores, such as Nekoiwa (Cat Rock) and Hokakeiwa (Sailing Rock) , which are, in Sado, said to originate from a Japan's creation myth.

Minshuku Nanauraso is situated on the heights overlooking Nanaura Kaigan coast. You can enjoy viewing the setting sun and the fires lit on boats to lure fish at night from your room. Meals prepared with local ingredients, such as homegrown vegetables, offer traditional tastes but, at the same time, feature a variety of style, including Italian flavours. The building has a distinctive white bay window facing the blue sea. Apple is a long-established snack bar in Aikawa. At Night Spot J1, drinks are offered at reasonable prices, and the hostess who is an amazing singer and the friendly owner will welcome you. You will have fun with waitresses while having good drinks. Karaoke lovers will be greatly pleased with their 100-inch big screen. Sometimes dishes made with seafood caught by a fisherman acquaintance are served, and the home-like atmosphere is one of the highlights at this place. The interiors are dimly lit with pin spots shining downwards on the counter, and indirect lighting on the wall giving a warm glow. You can enjoy chicken skewers grilled over charcoal by the master in a pub atmosphere. Lovingly prepared skewers will leave you with a memorable taste of Kinpuku. Daily skewers with "unconventional" items along with classic poultry pieces such as boneless chicken, gizzard, tsukune (minced chicken balls) are all delicious. The skewers go well with cold sake of Sado and carefully selected wine. The flavourful stew is a popular side dish for the end of the meal.
