Azuma Yubae-tei Kaiyo-tei was established as "Azuma", a Japanese cuisine restaurant, in Haneda, Aikawa, in 1925. Located at the western-most point in the northern Sado mountains, Azuma Yubae-tei Kaiyo-tei has been valued as the place "closest to the setting sun". Guest rooms and a large bathroom overlooking Nanaura Coast have a spectacular view of the setting sun. A large, 23,500㎡ lawn garden features a stone tablet carved with a haiku poem written by the famous poet, Seishi Yamaguchi, during his stay here, and an old burial ground. A stroll along the promenade leads to the seashore. Popular for its private outdoor bath and rooms with individual outdoor baths, Azuma Yubae-tei Kaiyo-tei is a long-established hotel with specialty dishes, standing on the heights of a quasi-national park.

Ryokan Doyu is a Japanese-style inn estbalished in 1999 in Kasugazaki, a scenic spot in Aikawa. All guestrooms and large bathing rooms have a view of the grand Sea of Japan, the beautiful setting sun, and the scene of the fire lit on boats which is used to lure fish at night. This inn offers a perfect setting to enjoy activities on mountains or in the sea. With the motto: "an inn known for its special cuisine", Ryokan Doyu offers dishes made from ingredients varying from fresh seafood directly sourced from local fishermen to locally grown rice and seasonal vegetables.

Situated on the heights of Kasugazaki, facing the Sea of Japan and "Doyu no Warito" (Sado Gold Mine's famous V-shaped mountain-top split), Hotel Oosado is a new, Japanese-style hotel with well-balanced tasteful elegance and modern functionality. Despite its size, the exceptional efforts of the staff to meet every guest's needs have established an excellent reputation. Hotel Oosado features stunning views of the blue sea from the windows of its spacious restaurant, and of the setting sun from the outdoor bath. Performances featuring Sado's folk songs are held every Saturday from May to October, and all dishes are prepared with Sado's seasonal goodness. Kasuga Shrine was established in 1605, in the Aikawa Kasugazaki area, by Nagayasu Okubo, a former Noh actor and Deputy for Sado (later the first Commissioner of Sado). It was transferred to where it now stands in 1619. The Noh stage was built in 1645, and a Noh performance was offered in Sado for the first time at the shrine's festival. The present-day stage was conveyed by Suwa Shrine in the Hamochi Takidaira area, and relocated in 2006. This happened thanks to the passion of local residents who took the opportunity to mark the 400th year since Kasuga Shrine's establishment. Various events, including bonfire Noh performances held several times a year, take place in this shrine.

The building has a distinctive white bay window facing the blue sea. Apple is a long-established snack bar in Aikawa. Surrounded by the chic, grey and black interior, you can enjoy drinks at reasonable prices. As the bar is equipped with a 100-inch big screen and cutting edge karaoke facilities, song lovers will be greatly pleased. Mini live shows are also occasionally held there. Lightly flavoured ramen (Chinese) noodles are perfect refreshments after drinks and enjoy popularity.

At Night Spot J1, drinks are offered at reasonable prices, and the hostess who is an amazing singer and the friendly owner will welcome you. You will have fun with waitresses while having good drinks. Karaoke lovers will be greatly pleased with their 100-inch big screen. Sometimes dishes made with seafood caught by a fisherman acquaintance are served, and the home-like atmosphere is one of the highlights at this place. Banquet server/attendant dispatch services are also popular.

Meotoiwa Drive-In is a roadside eatery right in front of the sight-seeing spot, Meotoiwa Rocks. The eatery offers dishes mainly on seafood such as rice bowls with seafood toppings and rice bowls with deep-fried breaded yellowtail. There is also a good selection of souvenirs unique to Sado on offer. Squid preparation is a popular experience with entertaining instructions by the "Dried Squid Master". After the experience, you can take some dried squid home, a popular item at the souvenir shop. If you wish to have the one you prepared by yourself, the prepared squid can be dried and shipped to you at a later date.

A long-established snack bar, Orphée reopened with added izakaya elements in 2007. While maintaining the intimate atmosphere perfect for karaoke and chatting, Orphée now offers an ample selection of dishes, too. The kitchen provides a variety of menu items, from grilled skewers, deep-fried dishes and steak to noodles and fried rice. As Orphée has both counter seats and a section floored with tatami mats, it is a perfect place to dine whether you are in a large group or a solo diner.
