Minshuku Nanauraso

Located in the heart of Nanaura Kaigan, the peninsula is a picturesque scenery made up an endless flat rocky surface. The uniqueness of the elevated coast has earned it the designation of ‘Sado-Yahiko-Yoneyama Semi-National Park’. The shoreline is dotted with ever-changing strangely shaped rocks which contributes to the beauty of the coast. This spot is popular for gathering shellfish, swimming, snorkeling, and fishing and is also known to witness magnificent views of the sun setting into the ocean.

Minshuku Ippuku is a Japanese-style B&B located in Tachibana at Nanaura Coast. The seafood served here, scrupulously selected by the fish connoisseur owner, is sublimely delicious. Minshuku Ippuku is an ideal accommodation for anglers, where they can receive advice on little known, great fishing spots. Okami (the female manager) will greet you with a bright smile and the meals she prepares are delicious and healthy. Macrobiotic meals are also available upon request. Long-stay business travellers repeatedly visit Minshuku Ippuku when they come to Sado.

Shikishimaso serves all-natural seafood, varying from fish caught by the inn's fishing boat, to seafood sourced from Inakujira Fishing Port or Ryotsu Market. Shikishimaso is confident in the quality of the food they provide. Nature activities at the sea in front of the inn are popular among guests. Shikishimaso also has great access to tourist attractions such as Sado Kinzan Gold Mine and Senkakuwan Bay, just 20-30 minutes away. Shikishimaso houses 29 guestrooms, and large banquet rooms of approximately 100㎡ and 130㎡, and can accommodate a large group of guests for school trips, or other group tours and excursions.

The building has a distinctive white bay window facing the blue sea. Apple is a long-established snack bar in Aikawa. Surrounded by the chic, grey and black interior, you can enjoy drinks at reasonable prices. As the bar is equipped with a 100-inch big screen and cutting edge karaoke facilities, song lovers will be greatly pleased. Mini live shows are also occasionally held there. Lightly flavoured ramen (Chinese) noodles are perfect refreshments after drinks and enjoy popularity.

At Night Spot J1, drinks are offered at reasonable prices, and the hostess who is an amazing singer and the friendly owner will welcome you. You will have fun with waitresses while having good drinks. Karaoke lovers will be greatly pleased with their 100-inch big screen. Sometimes dishes made with seafood caught by a fisherman acquaintance are served, and the home-like atmosphere is one of the highlights at this place. Banquet server/attendant dispatch services are also popular.

The interiors are dimly lit with pin spots shining downwards on the counter, and indirect lighting on the wall giving a warm glow. You can enjoy chicken skewers grilled over charcoal by the master in a pub atmosphere. Lovingly prepared skewers will leave you with a memorable taste of Kinpuku. Daily skewers with "unconventional" items along with classic poultry pieces such as boneless chicken, gizzard, tsukune (minced chicken balls) are all delicious. The skewers go well with cold sake of Sado and carefully selected wine. The flavourful stew is a popular side dish for the end of the meal.

Nakasho is a Japanese restaurant offering treats with the taste of Sado, such as sashimi and grilled fish. It houses a spacious section with tatami mat flooring, where you can enjoy your meal in a relaxing atmosphere. The highlights are kaisendon, a bowl of rice with more than eight kinds of fresh seafood, and tendon, a bowl of rice with fresh vegetable tempura. The taste of miso soup made from the subtly sweet Aikawa's miso enhances the flavours of seafood. Enjoy sophisticated dishes with Sado's local sake.
