Sado milk is delicious with a smooth finish. Cows raised at Clean Milk Production Farm, which has adopted the HACCP system to ensure safety, are healthy, and can produce delicious milk with fewer somatic cells, an indication that the cows are both less stressed and protected from infection. Dairy products made with milk collected from farmers every morning, including Sado Butter and a variety of natural cheeses, have earned a high reputation. Tours to see the packaging of milk and the production process of pudding and yoghurt are available. (The tour takes approx. 30 minutes.)

You can find locally-produced vegetables every day in one of the island's largest farm shops, Shinsen Kukan Yorankaya, located at the heart of Sado. Yorankaya boasts the widest range of processed products made from Sado-sourced produce, including vegetables, fruits, fish and seaweed, perfect for both daily shopping and souvenir hunting. Kanai Nohgakudo is a Noh theatre located in the Kanai area, which is known as Zeami's place of exile. The theatre hosts a variety of events, including Noh performances, throughout the year. The indoor stage is arranged with seating areas set up on three sides. It consists of a 6-meter mainstage constructed from Japanese cypress, an approximately 10-meter long hashigakari (ridgeway), and a kagami-ita (back wall) with a painting of a pine tree. Kanai Nohgakudo was built on the former site of the residence of Mr Jibu Hori and his wife, who were honourary citizens of the former Kanai Town. A statue commemorating their contribution to their hometown stands within the grounds.

Zen offers creative cuisines by making full use of seasonal ingredients. At lunchtime, omuraisu (omelette stuffed with fried rice) and pasta dishes are served. At dinnertime, meat and fish dishes are the main menu. Great food prepared by the master chef, qualified as a food coordinator, is popular for its various flavours such as the Asian. Zen also provides over 100 selections of cocktails. Keep an eye on new monthly menus and housemade desserts! Bento box meal catering services also enjoy popularity.

Cuccina is located along Nakatsugawa Riva, close to the Kanaieki crossing. The menu offers a plethora of dishes including authentic pizza, pasta, paella, carpaccio, and so on. Every dish is prepared from plenty of local ingredients from Sado, guaranteed to draw out a "Buono!" from its customers. Offering lunch menus, reasonable set meals, party menus and a variety of original cuisine, Cuccina is loved by guests of all ages.

Kinkaro stands along Route 350, which you will know by its red signboard. The chef of the second generation learnt culinary skills at a famous Sichuan cuisine restaurant in Niigata, and wholeheartedly prepares dishes. The Sichuan-style Hot and Spicy Bean Curd, which carries on a traditional taste, gives rich flavours in spiciness, and this dish is highly recommended. Classic menus such as gyoza dumplings, fried rice, and sweet and sour pork are peerlessly delicious. Kinkaro also serves up noodles and set meals, and the set lunch on weekdays has a loyal following thanks to the reasonable price.

Ekibasha specialises in steak and burger steak. The American country-style interior enhances your dining experience. The steak they serve is seasoned with salt and pepper only so that the distinct flavour of meat is maximised. The burger steak is made from 100% beef. Their homemade sauce enhances the flavours of meat. It is located right in front of the Kanai bus stop on the Kanaieki crossing and easy to find. Delicious meat awaits you here!
