We have a climbing gym open in the Ryotsu area! Staff members with 30 years of climbing experience are always available for instruction, so you can try bouldering by yourself or with no experience at all. All levels of climbers, young and old, male and female, are welcome. We hope you will experience the exhilaration of climbing and the sense of accomplishment when you are able to do so.

Sado Green Hotel Kiraku stands on the heights of Shiizaki, facing Lake Kamo. You can relax in a variety of hot spa baths varying from large bathing rooms with a panoramic view on the top floor (hotel guests only), Yurakunagaya (a private outdoor bath for hotel guests only), to outdoor baths "Toki no Maiyu" (one-day bathing available). Sado Green Hotel Kiraku serves seasonal fresh dishes prepared from fish caught from the Fishery Association every morning and oysters harvested in Lake Kamo.

Shiizaki Suwa Shrine is perched on a hill overlooking Lake Kamo. It was built in 1376, as a shrine to where the god divided from Suwa Taisha, in Nagano Prefecture, was invited and reenshrined. It is, reputedly, a guardian god for the Kujihonma family, the neighbourhood manor's lord. The Noh stage, with its gable-style tiled roof, was built in 1902 (a Niigata Prefectural Tangible Cultural Asset) and hosts the largest number of Noh performances in Sado. Atmospheric bonfire Noh performances are held on Saturdays, from May until early October (excluding August). You can join workshops of Noh and shimai (a simplified version of Noh, which is danced/performed to jiuta songs).

caMoco café Lake ASOBi is a boathouse on the shore of Lake Kamo. The 70-year-old boathouse was renovated, and the thick beams on the ceiling, which give a sense of strength, have been kept intact. The café offers a relaxed atmosphere with large windows overlooking Lake Kamo, and serves dishes that make use of local ingredients, such as pasta using oysters from Lake Kamo and a salmon lunch.

The restaurant has been located near Ryotsu Port for about 50 years, and was renovated in 2022 in a modern Japanese-style space with a relaxed atmosphere, where you can taste fresh local fish from Sado Island that the owner has connoisseurs at the market. The "Tuna Sankan Set" is Uoshu's top recommendation, offering chutoro (medium fatty tuna), otoro (large fatty tuna), and akami (red tuna) all at once from Yamayako, a specialized middle wholesaler in Toyosu that purchases seasonal tuna from all over the country! Enjoy the consistent taste that is carefully prepared.

Located on the first floor of the Sado Kisen Ryotsu Port Terminal, this café offers coffee brewed from strictly selected beans and light meals prepared with local ingredients.
