Japanese Cuisine Urashima

The East Building, designed by Hiroshi Naito, one of Japan's leading architects, stands in perfect harmony with the nature of Sado. Similar in its creation by a prominent architect in Japan, Koh Kitayama, the South Building has a modern design, with the building enveloped in glass. Kubota Campground is situated in a pine grove by Mano Bay. A shallow beach with calm waters is right in front of your eyes across the street. No cars are permitted on-site, but there is a free parking area in the neighborhood. The campsite has easy access to a shopping street and hot spring facility, and the area along the sea is home to many restaurants, so you will never run out of options for shopping and dining. The location is perfect for those who wish to explore Sado, as well as those who wish to take part in events such as the Sado's Ironman/woman Triathlon or the Sado Long Ride.

Sawata Fresh Fish Centre Kasuke is located on the Sawata bypass. It sells fresh fish from the surrounding sea of Sado, processed products such as dried fish, and other Sado specialties. Founded in 1848, and specialising in fugu processing, Kasuke is the only fishmonger in Sado which produces and supplies the special delicacy, "Fugunoko Kasuzuke". Kasuke also offers nationwide shipping and online shopping. At Fish Restaurant Kasuke next door, you can enjoy dishes prepared from locally sourced fish to your heart's delight.

Mumyouiyaki Gyokudou Kamamoto is a pottery gallery and gift shop with its factory in the Hatano area. You can, not only, see, touch, and purchase potteries, but also create your own pottery at workshops (throwing or hand carving courses), for a fee.

La Plage is a restaurant located in the East Wing of Ryokan Urashima. It serves authentic French cuisine prepared from meticulously selected local ingredients, such as fresh seafood and Sado's Berkshire black pork. Over "Koshino Matsubara" (a seashore with beautiful green pine trees), the vast expanse of Mano Bay spreads out in front of you. SEISUKE Next Door is the sister restaurant of the hidden-gem "Restaurant Seisuke" in Ryotsu. Chef Ozaki produces true excellence whilst keeping a loving eye on Sado. He has set his new stage on the seashore. He now runs the restaurant located within a complex facility standing on Sawata Bathing Beach. Ozaki offers French and Italian cuisine by cooking the delicious blessings from the sea and the mountains of Sado with culinary magic at reasonable prices only available in Sado. Linger over a brilliant breakfast served with special bread and coffee whilst enjoying the sea view. SEISUKE Next Door also provides its own, creative menu items prepared with distinctive ingredients only available in Sado, such as natural wines, cocktails made from wild fruit, Sado-grown chemical- and pesticide-free vegetables, fresh seafood (including oysters and fish caught in the surrounding sea), Sado Beef, and so on.

The cafe attracts regular customers who seek a place to relax during lunchtime and teatime. The ample selection of food menu including spaghetti, Japanese curry, noodles, set meals, sandwiches, desserts, etc and drinks have established its great reputation. A sizzling home-made burger steak served on an iron plate is especially recommended. Home-grown rice is also popular for its delicious flavour.
