Established after renovating a 70-year old Japanese-style inn, Hostel Perch is a guest house with a café and a bar. Hostel Perch aims to connect people and offer a pleasant time. It strives to be a space of comfort for men and women of all ages to gather, regardless of where they are from.

A ryokan in the Sawada area that has been in business for about 100 years. It is close to Sawada Beach, which can be seen from the rooms, and can be reached in swimsuits. Currently, the ryokan is open only for overnight stays with no meals. For this reason, the inn has stopped serving home-cooked meals and introduces guests to nearby restaurants such as kappo restaurants that use local ingredients in abundance. Another attraction is the beautiful sunset.

The sea breeze gently caresses your skin and leaves you peaceful at Sawata beach, where Guest Villa On the Beach is located. On the first floor is a French and Italian restaurant "Seisuke next door", where chefs cook Sado-grown ingredients with culinary magic. On the second floor lies a common space equipped with a lounge and a dining room with a kitchen. There is also a multi-purpose room available for loan, suitable for yoga lessons, etc. On the Beach will give you a unique stay in Sado, which is a calming and refreshing retreat to heal your mind and body. The bedding produced by "Minka (a retail of home accessories and bedding based in Niigata)" guarantees deep sleep.

Sawata Beach is just a 2-minute walk from the Kawaharada's Shopping Street. Nestled in Mano Bay, the beach is shallow and the waters are calm. It is conveniently located in the central area of Sado with an easy access to other parts in Sado, and attracts many beachgoers during the high season. There is a range of restaurants and accommodation within walking distance, so this area can be a perfect base for sightseeing in Sado. There is a free campsite, Kubota Campround, in an adjoining pine grove.

Petit Doll has a great reputation for its sourdough bread and sweets produced from locally sourced ingredients. Their original sweets made with a focus on Sado-sourced rice powder, dairy produce and fruit are a perfect gift and souvenir to take back home. In particular, "Shima (Island) Cheesecake", an excellent sweet which won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Prize, and "Okesa Potato", which is made from sweet potatoes grown using reduced chemicals, are classic sweets in Sado. There is also a café corner on site.

The cafe attracts regular customers who seek a place to relax during lunchtime and teatime. The ample selection of food menu including spaghetti, Japanese curry, noodles, set meals, sandwiches, desserts, etc and drinks have established its great reputation. A sizzling home-made burger steak served on an iron plate is especially recommended. Home-grown rice is also popular for its delicious flavour.
