Tatakaidou

Close to the Tatakaido (literally: battle road) area where the statues of samurais on horseback stand. They depict the battle between the armies of Sado's Honma Clan and the lord of Echigo (today's Niigata). The entrance to Tenguzuka Park is also nearby, where, according to legend, a tengu (an imaginary being with a red face and a high nasal bridge that can fly) trained villagers to become tengu. The bus stops have shelters.

The bus routes and final stops vary depending on the season and schedule. For details, please visit the website of Niigata Kotsu Sado.
