Founded in 1915, Kato Sake Brewery is located in the Kanai area, where they transferred to seek out good quality water. Seventy per cent of their sake is consumed within the island. "Kintsuru," a favorite among Sado Islanders, is a hidden gem not very known outside the island. However, the company's sake-making policy and the resulting flavors, which are embodied in Jogen no Tsuki (a pure sake with highly polished rice organically cultivated with natural farming methods by their own workers), are attracting local sake connoisseurs all around Japan. Ryokan Iriumi is located by the seashore in Kubota and is surrounded by the sound of waves of Mano Bay. The majority of the spacious guestrooms have a sea view. Run by a master fisherman, the inn owns a fixed fishing net, and the seafood they serve is exceptionally fresh. The meals which maximizes the unique flavours of Sado has established reputation, and their specialty menu is okoze (stonefish) dishes. White flesh with simple, light flavour is served deep-fried and as sashimi. The ginger-coloured hot spa water will warm you up from inside and ease your fatigue.

Mumyouiyaki Gyokudou Kamamoto is a pottery gallery and gift shop with its factory in the Hatano area. You can, not only, see, touch, and purchase potteries, but also create your own pottery at workshops (throwing or hand carving courses), for a fee.

La Plage is a restaurant located in the East Wing of Ryokan Urashima.
