Sado Green Hotel Kiraku stands on the heights of Shiizaki, facing Lake Kamo. You can relax in a variety of hot spa baths varying from large bathing rooms with a panoramic view on the top floor (hotel guests only), Yurakunagaya (a private outdoor bath for hotel guests only), to outdoor baths "Toki no Maiyu" (one-day bathing available). Sado Green Hotel Kiraku serves seasonal fresh dishes prepared from fish caught from the Fishery Association every morning and oysters harvested in Lake Kamo.

Claiming the wealthiest farmer in Sado as an ancestor, Hotel Mancho was established in 1950. It stands at the seashore in Aikawa, facing the setting sun and the fires lit on boats to lure fish at night. Dishes are prepared from rustic seafood and the riches of the soil by chefs with delicate techniques. The in-house art gallery displays many exhibits, including Buddha statues that have been collected over generations, and the writings of three people with "shu" in their name (Katsu Kaishu, Tesshu Yamaoka and Deishu Takahashi), who are famous for their superb handwriting and lived at the end of the Edo Period (19th century). Hotel Mancho is situated close to Sado Kinzan Gold Mine and Kasugazaki, and offers opportunities for a variety of activities.

Ryokan Doyu is a Japanese-style inn estbalished in 1999 in Kasugazaki, a scenic spot in Aikawa. All guestrooms and large bathing rooms have a view of the grand Sea of Japan, the beautiful setting sun, and the scene of the fire lit on boats which is used to lure fish at night. This inn offers a perfect setting to enjoy activities on mountains or in the sea. With the motto: "an inn known for its special cuisine", Ryokan Doyu offers dishes made from ingredients varying from fresh seafood directly sourced from local fishermen to locally grown rice and seasonal vegetables.

The Maehama Coast and the surrounding area is a picturesque spot with a gentle coastline. This campsite is right next to a beach situated between Akagameiwa and Kazashima Benten rocks. The pebbly beach is protected by a seawall, which makes the walk on the beach easier. As the campsite is within a park, toilets are available all year, but the changing room and shower area are closed except during the opening period of the bathing beach. Please take your own litter home.

Amazawa Ryokan is a long-established Japanese-style inn in Hamochi Ohashi, established in the early Showa Period (early 20th century). With a family atmosphere, Amazawa Ryokan often welcomes regular visits of anglers. Meals are made from local seafood, home-grown vegetables from the Okami female manager's parents' place, Sado-grown Koshihikari rice harvested in the mountains, and other local delicacies. Just a 10-minute drive away from the Sawata city centre, Auto Park Sawata is surrounded by lush greenery with views of Mt Kinpoku and Kuninaka Plain. The Sawata Bathing Beach is only about 15 minutes away from the site. Donden Sanso, situated right in the middle of the traverse course on Osado Mountains, has been loved by hikers and tourists who visit Osado Mountains such as Mt Donden, one of the Top 100 Mountains with Flowers in Japan. Seafood, riches of the soil special to Sado, and delicious rice are popular among visitors. The view from the deck is stunning, and you can look out to the mountain ranges in Echigo on the mainland when the weather is clear. Sunrise and starry night skies are also fantastic.

Farmhouse Inn Ueta is an accommodation for one group per day/night located near Sado City Hall. You can enjoy the slow pace of rural life in Sado by getting in touch with nature of the sea and mountains, and experiencing farming or juice making (seasonal). Conveniently located from Futatsuagame and Onogame, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the coastline in the hidden areas of Sado. You can also feast on plenty of fresh seafood, caught using a gill net by the owner fisherman.

Fusubemura is a hands-on learning centre located in Kodomari, with an accommodation available on-site. One cottage contains a dining room, living room and bedrooms for five people, and this is perfect for families and groups of friends. While staying in the spacious centre, you can enjoy making your original pieces of work in workshops including classes for pottery, rag-weaving, bamboo craft, etc. The surrounding natural environment such as Sobama Bathing Beach is also fascinating.

With a view over the Futatsugame and Onogame rocks which are listed on the Michelin Green Guide, Futatsugame Campground sits in Futatsugame Bathing Beach, which boasts its most crystal clear waters in Sado. The surrounding dynamic natural environment in Sotokaifu is its charm. The camping site slopes gently to the sea, and the stairs leading down to the beach are an exciting challenge. The SADO Futatsugame View Hotel is located adjacent to the campground.

Futatsugame Yoshiya Bekkan is an inn located close to Futatsugame, a famous scenic spot also known for its beach. Snorkeling is a popular activity in the seas, where the water is the clearest in Sado. The home-style dishes, which are made using plenty of fresh seafood and seaweed landed at Washizaki Fishing Port, are one of the reasons why repeat guests always return. Green Village Patio House is an inn with a casual atmosphere situated in an idyllic setting in Niibo, known as the home to toki (Japanese crested ibises), and it attracts many fans locally and nationally. You can enjoy cycling and trekking at nearby Niibo Dam which is surrounded by rich nature. Surrounded by nature, Kawaguchiso is the accommodation closest to the entrance of the pristine forest trail route. The manager, an ecotourism guide, will navigate you through the Seki Forest famous for the Kongo ancient cedar, and Niigata University's Forest (guided tours require a fee). Seasonal wild plants are enchanting, too. Kawaguchiso welcomes many repeat-visitors coming to enjoy both river and sea fishing, and provides special offers for anglers.

Guest Hotel Noto is conveniently located for both sightseeing and business, just a 5-minute walk from Sado Kisen's Ogi Port Ferry Terminal. Hotel Noto houses four rooms in total, and is very friendly, hospitable and attentive to the needs of their guests. Nagahamaso is a guest house located on the way to Ogi along the sea from Mano. It is in a great location with Mano Bay as its backdrop. Its changing menu reflects the day's catch and enjoys a good reputation. Ask about the economy-package for business use. The attached restaurant features a large fish tank that keeps abalones, turban shellfish, flatfish, and so on, alive! Lunch and dinner are served for both guests and non-guests.

The sea breeze gently caresses your skin and leaves you peaceful at Sawata beach, where Guest Villa On the Beach is located. On the first floor is a French and Italian restaurant "Seisuke next door", where chefs cook Sado-grown ingredients with culinary magic. On the second floor lies a common space equipped with a lounge and a dining room with a kitchen. There is also a multi-purpose room available for loan, suitable for yoga lessons, etc. On the Beach will give you a unique stay in Sado, which is a calming and refreshing retreat to heal your mind and body. The bedding produced by "Minka (a retail of home accessories and bedding based in Niigata)" guarantees deep sleep.

The Masaragawa area is known for the Kaifu Ohashi bridge over the Ozare River strath. The unparalleled view over the sea of Sotokaifu is stunning. Inside Guesthouse Hayashiso, prints of large fish including yellowtail amberjack, red seabream, black porgy, etc. are displayed, and the inn is famous among fishers coming from the outside of Sado. The owner, who is a fisherman, will take you off-shore by a fishing boat (for a charge) , where he will grill your catch or serve it as sashimi.

Guesthouse Matashichi sits on an alleyway leading to Yajima and Kyojima with its own distinctive atmosphere. You can enjoy the fantastic combination of home-grown rice and vegetables, and the fresh seafood to your satisfaction, including turban shellfish and seasonal fish grilled at the Japanese style hearth by the Okami mistress, and fresh sashimi. Matashichi also offer hands-on activities such as a tub boat ride operated by the cooperation of the whole village, farming experience, soba making, yachting, canoeing, etc. (Reservation required / some for a charge)

Guesthouse Senkakuwan stands directly next to Senkakuwan Ageshima Yuen. The inn is perfectly located for exploring Aikawa and Sotokaifu in the neighbourhood of Marine Park in Senkakuwan Bay and Tassha Bathing Beach. Guesthouse Senkakuwan treats guests to fresh, locally caught seafood including deluxe sashimi served on a ship-shaped platter for dinner. The guesthouse is a friendly place where tourists and locals can casually pop-in and enjoy menu items such as set meals and donburi (rice with toppings) prepared with special seafood.

At Guesthouse Shimizuso, the fisherman master catches seafood, and his son, who was apprenticed to chefs at a hotel, cooks the haul. You will receive a warm welcome from the entire family. Varied coastlines, including fishing spots at the back of the inn, are fascinating to anglers. Minshuku Shimizuso is a popular base for exploring around the Ogi Peninsula, including tourist attractions such as the Designated Important Preservation Area for Traditional Buildings and Architecture, and Sawasaki Lighthouse. The inn also offers opportunities for hands-on experiences, including fishing off of a rocky shore and bamboo craft making.

Guesthouse Sudareso is located in the southernmost point of the Senkakuwan area, conveniently close to Tassha Beach. A 3-minute walk from the inn through alleyways in a village leads to Himezu Port, which is known as a squid fishing base. You will feast on dishes prepared skillfully with fresh seafood, which is caught by the Okami female manager's father, a local fisherman, or caught at local ports. Minshuku Sudareso is an inn with a family home atmosphere and receives repeat guests, from fishermen who have visited over 30 years to families who visit annually.

Guesthouse Suehiroso is an inn located on an inlet famous for Yajima and Kyojima, connected with an impressive red bridge. Dishes prepared by the Okami mistress of the inn using home-grown Koshihikari rice, vegetables and local seafood are served abundantly ensuring your satisfaction. Only 10 minutes away by car from Ogi Port, Minshuku Suehiroso is situated in an ideal environment where you can enjoy the traditional activities of Sado, such as the tub boat ride and fishing from the rocky shores. It is also a perfect place for exploring the neighbourhood including Kaichoji Temple known for the magnificent cherry blossom trees.

Guesthouse Yamamotoso is an inn located in the Washizaki area, the northernmost part of Sado Island. It is an area where in the summer you can see both the sun rising and the sun setting over the sea at the same location. The inn is also a retail store with an attractive atmosphere in which customers and neighbours gather to chat together. You will be served dishes packed full of seafood from the local fishing port, home-grown rice and vegetables, mountain vegetables and seaweed.

Hananoki Inn is housed in a 150-year old Japanese house transferred and reassembled on about 3,300㎡ of land. Hananoki stands calmly in the borrowed scenery of mountains, where Buddha statues carved into rock, and the huge Kofuku Jizo statue act as backdrops. Repeat customers return for the wholeheartedly prepared dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The inn has, on the premises, a pottery factory of the inn's master, Tosei Watanabe. The inn also hosts concerts with unique programming.
