Isaburo, an inn for one guest (group of guests) per stay
Isaburo's Residence, known as the house with a unique eave decoration, has opened its doors to the public as an accommodation. The old house of a Sengokubune captain, built in 1892, it is now available for use with its interior in the original format. You can feel a sense of history everywhere in the building, with fan-shaped eave decorations, glossy, amber coloured flooring planks, sooked walls, and lacquered beams and cupboards. You'll enjoy exclusive use of the property during your stay. Isaburo's offers a bed-only package, but the building is fully equipped with a self-catering kitchen.

Matsugasaki History Park
Matsugasaki History Park is a leisure spot featuring a free campground and a beautiful park perfect for a stroll, with the pure white Konose Lighthouse and the Sea of Japan right before your eyes. In ancient times, the area once flourished as the main gateway to Sado Island from the mainland Echigo (Niigata), and is also known as a landing point of Nichiren Shonin (Buddhist monk) and Zeami (a playwright who perfected the art form of Noh), both of whom were exiled to Sado. Port Observation Point, a re-creation of the Sado Commissioner's Office in the Edo Period (1601 – 1868), offers a sense of ancient culture.

Oiya Ryokan
Oiya Ryokan is just 5-minutes on foot from Sado Kisen Akadomari Ferry Terminal. Frank and chatty Okami (the female manager) will give you a warm welcome. With 300-year-old pine trees, a skylight on the ceiling, and amber-colored corridors, traditions are kept alive here and there in this wooden-structured inn built in the Taisho Period (1912-1926). Minshuku Takayama
Minshuku Takayama is situated behind Shukunegi Post Office in the Takayama area of Shukunegi. Here, you can enjoy delicacies from the sea, such as turban shellfish and abalones, etc. which the master, who is a fisherman himself, catches in a traditional manner on a tub boat. Minshuku Takayama takes pride in hand-kneaded soba (buckwheat) noodles, and they enjoy immense popularity. Guests sometimes enjoy talking and drinking together gathered around the sunken hearth in the lounge. Seikaiso (literally quiet sea inn) faces the Mano Bay renowned for its beauty at twilight. The shoaling Nagaishi beach is just a 1-minute walk from the inn. The perfect base for a walking tour, Sashu Oyarikan was established after repairing a historical accommodation named Sashukan, where celebrities, like famous writers, once stayed. Onogameso Country House
Onogameso welcomes tourists who love to fish or sea-bathe, and provides the comfortable atmosphere of a family home. The inn serves fish caught with a fish trap and seafood caught with bag-shaped nets, caught by the Country House owner himself, home-grown Koshihikari rice, mountain vegetables, and delights the palate with simple local flavours. A walk along the seaside from the village will lead you to Sai no Kawara, where you will find Jizo ( stone statues of Bodhisattva) in various sizes and stone towers (sai no kawara is a spot considered to be a bank of a river which flows between heaven and hell, where deceased children go and play building small stone towers). Minshuku Sankeikan
Nestled between the scenic spots of Onogame and Futatsugame, Minshuku Sankeikan is situated in the Negai village, known for Sai no Kawara, a spot considered to be a bank area of a river which flows between heaven and hell, where deceased children go and play building small stone towers. All rooms have a sea view, and Futatsugame is right in front of your eyes. Dishes centering on fresh seafood and seaweed freshly caught by the Master add colour to your table. Especially Sado's specialty kamenote (Japanese goose barnacles) and ginbaso seaweed are classic menu items for dinner and go well with Japanese sake. The brilliant setting sun is a must-see.
