How to Participate

①　Share a photo of your trip to Sado Island to your feed and use the hashtags #SadoIsland #sadoIslandAdventures or #佐渡岛 #佐渡物语
②　Show your post to one of our staff at Tourism Information Centers in Ryotsu, Aikawa or Ogi.
③　Receive your FREE gift! A beautiful hashi-oki (chopstick rest) shaped like Sado Island, handcrafted from locally sourced Atebi wood!

Important Notes

- Posts to Instagram, Facebook or Xiao Hong Shu are acceptable
- Selected photos may be used in Sado City’s promotional materials.
- Gifts are only available in person—show your post to our staff to claim yours!
- Gifts available for the first 300 participants (first come, first served)!

4. Use of Submitted Photos Posted photos may be used in Sado City’s PR materials (e.g., booklets, websites) or shared with approved third parties. If photos include people, the poster must obtain consent by informing them that the images may be used for Sado City’s tourism PR. Sado City and Sado Tourism Exchange Organization (Inc.) are not responsible for any portrait rights disputes.
5. Photography Guidelines Participants must follow all laws and regulations when taking photos. Prohibited actions include: Dangerous or illegal photography, trespassing on restricted areas or private property, and use of drones for photography.
