Ikoi-no-Mura Festival

A summer festival in Oda known for its bonfire Noh performances on the sea

Ikoi-no-Mura Festival is organised by the Festival Committee of locals to reinvigorate the community. The attractions include Ondeko (demon drumming), Ojishi (big lion), Sado folk songs and dances, and popular song shows. One of the highlights is Sado bonfire Noh performed on a special floating stage near Oda Fishing Port. You can immerse yourself in the world of yugen (a subtle and profound sense of aesthetics), which can be experienced at this festival. The festival also features a great fireworks display.
