In addition to buses, cabs, and rental cars, electric bikes called "Eco-Da-Chari" are available for sightseeing on Sado Island. There are three types of bicycles available: the "Sport Type" and "Sport Type Mini" hybrid bikes with electric power assistance, and the "City Type" for easy use.
Eco-Da-Chari
Sport-type
This is an electrically assisted bike that can be comfortably ridden over long distances and on undulating roads with excellent riding performance.

- 2,000 yen for 2 hours, 500 yen per hour thereafter
- 4,500 yen for 24 hours
- 2,000 yen for ride-and-drop (*Bikes can only be dropped off at Tourist Centers.)

- Sport-type bikes are best for someone taller than 159cm.
- Please pay the rental fee in cash at the rental counter.
- Credit card payment is available at information centers in Aikawa. South Sado (Ogi) can only accept cash payment.
- An additional fee of 500 yen per hour will be charged for use beyond the rental time.
- About advance reservations. The Minami Sado Tourist Information Center accepts advance reservations by phone.
- Rentals are available only on business days and during business hours of the information desk. Rentals are not available on holidays or after business hours.
- Skirts and heeled shoes are not allowed.
- Wearing a helmet is voluntary but we highly recommend wearing one for safety. *We also lend out helmets free of charge. Please note that the number available may be limited.
- A copy of ID (driver's license, insurance card, student ID, passport, etc.) is required to rent an electric bicycle in case of accidents, theft, or other troubles. Parents or guardians should also provide an ID for minors. *Minors are not allowed to rent e-bikes without an accompanying parent or guardian.
Sado Outdoor Base
For those who wish to rent bicycles around Ryotsu Port, rental bicycles are available at the Sado Outdoor Base. (4-minute walk from Ryotsu Port)
