Andante is an inn run by grape growers who moved to Sado Island in 2015 to start winemaking. While growing grapes for wine, the owners decided to convert an old house into a farm stay with the intent of recreating their inspiring experiences in Europe. Guests will appreciate the beauty of local life and the flavors of Sado Island. Andante welcomes only one group of guests at a time. Just a 10-minute drive away from the Sawata city centre, Auto Park Sawata is surrounded by lush greenery with views of Mt Kinpoku and Kuninaka Plain. Each pitch has a parking space for one car, and is equipped with a private washing area, electric hook-ups and a Western-style toilet. The Sawata Bathing Beach is only about 15 minutes away from the site. Nagahamaso is a guest house located on the way to Ogi along the sea from Mano. It is in a great location with Mano Bay as its backdrop. The attached restaurant features a large fish tank that keeps abalones, turban shellfish, flatfish, and so on, alive! Lunch and dinner are served for both guests and non-guests.

A ryokan in the Sawada area that has been in business for about 100 years. It is close to Sawada Beach, which can be seen from the rooms, and can be reached in swimsuits. Currently, the ryokan is open only for overnight stays with no meals. For this reason, the inn has stopped serving home-cooked meals and introduces guests to nearby restaurants such as kappo restaurants that use local ingredients in abundance. Another attraction is the beautiful sunset.

Kubota Campground is situated in a pine grove by Mano Bay. A shallow beach with calm waters is right in front of your eyes across the street. No cars are permitted on-site, but there is a free parking area in the neighborhood. The campsite has easy access to a shopping street and hot spring facility, and the area along the sea is home to many restaurants, so you will never run out of options for shopping and dining. The location is perfect for those who wish to explore Sado, as well as those who wish to take part in events such as the Sado's Ironman/woman Triathlon or the Sado Long Ride.

LOHAS inn Koganeso is located in the Hatano area in the Kuninaka Plain at the heart of Sado. You will be welcomed by the lush nature and delicious fruits of the ground and the sea unique to Sado. Matsugasaki History Park is a leisure spot featuring a free campground and a beautiful park perfect for a stroll, with the pure white Konose Lighthouse and the Sea of Japan right before your eyes. In ancient times, the area once flourished as the main gateway to Sado Island from the mainland Echigo (Niigata), and is also known as a landing point of Nichiren Shonin (Buddhist monk) and Zeami (a playwright who perfected the art form of Noh), both of whom were exiled to Sado. Port Observation Point, a re-creation of the Sado Commissioner's Office in the Edo Period (1601 – 1868), offers a sense of ancient culture.

Minshuku Ohana's specialty menu is okonomiyaki (Japanese as-you-like-it savory pancakes) made with Sado's seafood, and cooked by the Osaka-born Okami (female manager). The previous master of the inn was a puppeteer of Noroma Puppets and operated a doll named "Ohana." Upon reservation, and for an additional fee, guests can enjoy a performance by a local puppet theatre group. Situated along the Minami (south) Line bus route and located close to Niibo Dam and Toki Forest Park, Minshuku Ohana is a homey inn with a great location.

Guesthouse Tokaen is located at the centre of Sado, close to Sado City Hall and Sado General Hospital, which are 5 minutes by car from the inn. Nakazawaya Ryokan has a long history of over 100 years in the Sawata area. At the entrance, Bunya Puppets and Noh Theatre masks, created by the Okami's (female manager) grandfather, provide a distinctively Sado atmosphere. Just a 10-minute drive from the Niibo town centre, Niibo Dam Campsite is a free camping area close to the Niibo Dam. 2,000 cherry blossom trees are planted on the outskirts, and you can look out onto the lush forest over the dam. With many tourist attractions such as Toki Forest Park nearby, the location in the heart of Sado is a perfect base for you to explore Sado. Please take your own litter home.

With a history of 800 years, Niibo Katagami Onsen is rumored to have been frequented by Emperor Juntoku in the 13th century. Onsen bathing in this area is said to have originated when a samurai warrior tried using the water after he saw a white heron (or toki, as some people claim) treat its injuries at the onsen. Known as "the waters with healing properties," Niibo Katagami Onsen is frequented affectionately by many local people.
