Fusubemura is a hands-on learning centre located in Kodomari, with an accommodation available on-site. One cottage contains a dining room, living room and bedrooms for five people, and this is perfect for families and groups of friends. While staying in the spacious centre, you can enjoy making your original pieces of work in workshops including classes for pottery, rag-weaving, bamboo craft, etc. The surrounding natural environment such as Sobama Bathing Beach is also fascinating.

A ryokan in the Sawada area that has been in business for about 100 years. It is close to Sawada Beach, which can be seen from the rooms, and can be reached in swimsuits. Currently, the ryokan is open only for overnight stays with no meals. For this reason, the inn has stopped serving home-cooked meals and introduces guests to nearby restaurants such as kappo restaurants that use local ingredients in abundance. Another attraction is the beautiful sunset.

Ryokan Doyu is a Japanese-style inn estbalished in 1999 in Kasugazaki, a scenic spot in Aikawa. All guestrooms and large bathing rooms have a view of the grand Sea of Japan, the beautiful setting sun, and the scene of the fire lit on boats which is used to lure fish at night. This inn offers a perfect setting to enjoy activities on mountains or in the sea. With the motto: "an inn known for its special cuisine", Ryokan Doyu offers dishes made from ingredients varying from fresh seafood directly sourced from local fishermen to locally grown rice and seasonal vegetables.

The perfect base for a walking tour, Sashu Oyarikan was established after repairing a historical accommodation named Sashukan, where celebrities, like famous writers, once stayed. Oyari means "take it easy" in the Aikawa dialect. Sashu Oyarikan has a lounge, exhibition rooms and public restrooms on the first floor, so please feel free to visit us. The second floor is designed for simple lodging for students (18-years-old and up) and is available for training camps, study trips and seminars.

Hotel New Katsura is superbly located on the lakeside, close to the sea. Standing on the heights of the Shiizaki Onsen hot spring village, with an abundance of hot spring water, Hotel New Katsura provides large bathrooms for men and women, as well as, two outdoor bathrooms and a private outdoor bath. Kamomeso is situated in a lush, green area, where the chirpings of little birds delight your ears. Just one step in from the entrance, you will find a space like a modern art gallery. Kamomeso proudly provides hot spring baths with a continuous flow of hot spa waters, and dishes prepared with fresh seafood, landed at the local fishing port. Outdoor baths where you can enjoy the starry night sky is popular among guests. Conveniently located from Ogi Port, Kamomeso is ideal for travelers who want to enjoy seeing around Shukunegi and Rengebuji Temple.

Perched on elevated ground 100 meters from the coastline, Kyukamura Sado Caravan Site is located on Seki Cape, with the azure Sea of Japan in front and the Osado Mountain Range in back. The Seki community, down the road from the campsite, is one of the entrances for the trekking route through the pristine forest known for its ancient cedars. This campsite guarantees a stunning view of the great landscape of Sotokaifu: the sun setting over the Sea of Japan, the fires lit on the boats to lure fish at night, and the starry night skies.

Minshuku Takayama is situated behind Shukunegi Post Office in the Takayama area of Shukunegi. Here, you can enjoy delicacies from the sea, such as turban shellfish and abalones, etc. which the master, who is a fisherman himself, catches in a traditional manner on a tub boat. Minshuku Takayama takes pride in hand-kneaded soba (buckwheat) noodles, and they enjoy immense popularity. Guests sometimes enjoy talking and drinking together gathered around the sunken hearth in the lounge. A bottle of Japanese sake (Hokusetsu Kinboshi), bearing Takayama's original label on its bottle, is a perfect souvenir.

Iseya Shinkan is a minshuku-style inn (Japanese-style B&B) perfect for holidays and business. The inn welcomes holiday and business travellers with hospitality and is suitable for mid and long-term stays. Iseya Shinkan is located in the Sawata Shopping Street and a beach is also in the neighbourhood. The dinner menu is focused on seasonal seafood landed in Sado, and can be enjoyed in the dining room on site or at "Sakuraya", a sister tapas bar.

With a history of 800 years, Niibo Katagami Onsen is rumored to have been frequented by Emperor Juntoku in the 13th century. Onsen bathing in this area is said to have originated when a samurai warrior tried using the water after he saw a white heron (or toki, as some people claim) treat its injuries at the onsen. Known as "the waters with healing properties," Niibo Katagami Onsen is frequented affectionately by many local people.

Sobama Campground is located at Sobama Bathing Beach, where the sandy shore stretches for four kilometers. The beach hut here is the largest on Sado. Camping slots are available in two areas: along the main road and upland, each location equipped with toilets and showers. There are lodges adjacent to the campground, too. This campground is conveniently located just 10 minutes by car from Ogi Port and day-trip bathing facilities. The view of the sea reflecting the color of the setting sun, and the night sky full of stars are breathtaking scenes.

LOHAS inn Koganeso is located in the Hatano area in the Kuninaka Plain at the heart of Sado. You will be welcomed by the lush nature and delicious fruits of the ground and the sea unique to Sado. With a convenience store 5 minutes away, Koganeso is conveniently located for sightseeing and business. Koganeso and the adjoining Hatano Onsen Shosenkaku shares a front desk. The inn guests can utilise the popular hot spring baths with continuous flows of hot spring water from the source at Shosenkaku.

Ryokan Futatsugameso is in a great location, incorporating Futatsugame, a clustor of massive offshore outcrops named for what they resemble, two turtles, into their garden landscape. Futatsugame Bathing Beach is right in front of the hotel, where the water is the clearest in Sado. This is an inn run by a parent and child, who are both fishermen, and fresh seafood including sea bream, flatfish, and turban shells caught with their fixed net and gill net, are served for dinner. The setting sun colouring the sea and fantastic fire lit on boats to lure fish at night add a unique experience to your travels.

YOSABEI is located in the Kuninaka Plain, a location facing mountains and rich nature, and where life with clean water streaming from Mt. Kinpoku can be enjoyed. YOSABEI is an old house converted into an inn by Karl Bengs, an Architecture Designer who has an extensive track record of old house revival projects in Japan. Take a break in a space where it feels as if time has stopped flowing, surrounded by organic vegetable farms and herb gardens; where you can enjoy a breakfast of Sado rice slowly cooked over a fire, and other Sado-produced ingredients.

Sunrise Jogahama is an inn located in Akadomari, in the refreshing environment of southeast Sado, that offers hands-on experiences. As the name suggests, you can see the sun rising above the horizon from guest rooms. In front of the inn lies Jogahama Bathing Beach and behind it are mountains abundant in nature, making Sunrise Jogahama ideal for school trips and training camps as well as ordinary stays and banquets. Workshops on offer include soba noodle-making, fishing from a rocky shore, and folktale retelling, providing a glance at the culture of Sado.

Situated in the heart of the Aikawa, Asahiso has been loved as a good base for leisurely sight-seeing (such as a downtown stroll), sea bathing, camping and fishing. With its central location, Asahiso is close to great scenic spots like Senkakuwan Bay and the Nanaura Kaigan coast, and only 10-minutes by car from Sado Kinzan Gold Mine. Fully satisfied with the seasonal dishes made by the Okami female manager, Asahiso boasts many repeat customers!

Isaburo's Residence, known as the house with a unique eave decoration, has opened its doors to the public as an accommodation. The old house of a Sengokubune captain, built in 1892, it is now available for use with its interior in the original format. You can feel a sense of history everywhere in the building, with fan-shaped eave decorations, glossy, amber coloured flooring planks, sooked walls, and lacquered beams and cupboards. You'll enjoy exclusive use of the property during your stay. Isaburo's offers a bed-only package, but the building is fully equipped with a self-catering kitchen.

Aokiya stands at the top of the hill overlooking Lake Kamo, and all guestrooms have a sea view. The sun setting behind Osado Mountains while turning the lake into a beautiful orange colour is exceptionally memorable. Dishes prepared mainly from seafood caught from the local sea surrounding Sado are delicious. Shiizaki Onsen's natural hot spa water, which was used for healing by the toki, the Japanese crested ibis, eases your fatigue. The Aokiya is a perfect place for a casual stroll and relaxation as it is close to Shiizaki Park and noh theatre stage.

Guesthouse Matashichi sits on an alleyway leading to Yajima and Kyojima with its own distinctive atmosphere. You can enjoy the fantastic combination of home-grown rice and vegetables, and the fresh seafood to your satisfaction, including turban shellfish and seasonal fish grilled at the Japanese style hearth by the Okami mistress, and fresh sashimi. Kubota Campground is situated in a pine grove by Mano Bay. A shallow beach with calm waters is right in front of your eyes across the street. No cars are permitted on-site, but there is a free parking area in the neighborhood. The campsite has easy access to a shopping street and hot spring facility, and the area along the sea is home to many restaurants, so you will never run out of options for shopping and dining. The location is perfect for those who wish to explore Sado, as well as those who wish to take part in events such as the Sado's Ironman/woman Triathlon or the Sado Long Ride.

Oiya Ryokan is just 5-minutes on foot from Sado Kisen Akadomari Ferry Terminal. Frank and chatty Okami (the female manager) will give you a warm welcome. With 300-year-old pine trees, a skylight on the ceiling, and amber-colored corridors, traditions are kept alive here and there in this wooden-structured inn built in the Taisho Period (1912-1926). Oiya Ryokan is an inn which puts passion into its meals. Dishes prepared with shrimps and crabs caught in Akadomari are the main reason for its popularity.

Shikishimaso serves all-natural seafood, varying from fish caught by the inn's fishing boat, to seafood sourced from Inakujira Fishing Port or Ryotsu Market. Shikishimaso is confident in the quality of the food they provide. Nature activities at the sea in front of the inn are popular among guests. Shikishimaso also has great access to tourist attractions such as Sado Kinzan Gold Mine and Senkakuwan Bay, just 20-30 minutes away. Shikishimaso houses 29 guestrooms, and large banquet rooms of approximately 100㎡ and 130㎡, and can accommodate a large group of guests for school trips, or other group tours and excursions.

Founded in 1912, Hotel Shiiya is the longest-established hotel in Ryotsu, which is nestled at the side of Lake Kamo. The entrance has a large, red parasol, used for outdoor tea ceremony, that evokes a traditional Japanese atmosphere. Flower arrangements dotted around the hotel, among other small touches, offer a sense of hospitality. Generous hospitality is also present in the meal service, which showcases the tastes of Sado with fresh seafood and fruit, among others. With a long history of over 90 years, Fukusukeya Ryokan is situated in the Negai village, known for Sai no Kawara, a spot which has a legend that it is a bank of a river which flows between heaven and hell, where deceased children go and play building small stone towers. Conveniently located from Futatsuagame and Onogame, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the coastline in the hidden areas of Sado. You can also feast on plenty of fresh seafood, caught using a gill net by the owner fisherman.
