Established after renovating a 70-year old Japanese-style inn, Hostel Perch is a guest house with a café and a bar. Hostel Perch aims to connect people and offer a pleasant time. It strives to be a space of comfort for men and women of all ages to gather, regardless of where they are from.

A 5-minute walk from Sawata Bathing Beach, Hostel Tatsumiya offers dormitory-style rooms, private rooms and and a shared room with tatami-mat flooring. For business or pleasure, please make yourself at home.

As the signboard bearing "Izuei Bekkan (annex)" suggests, the long-established eel restaurant "Izuei" in Ueno Ikenohata, Tokyo, is the owner of the hotel. The hotel is located in the bustling areas in Ryotsu Ebisu, and offers a perfect setting for sightseeing and business. The hotel houses a restaurant with a view on the sixth floor, where not only hotel guests but also non-hotel guests can dine. You can enjoy the panoramic view over Lake Kamo and Osado mountains, while feasting on dishes including Unaju, rice with grilled eel in a lacquer box.

A view over the Sea of Japan can be enjoyed from each room. All rooms are spacious, set in the European style with a bath and a separate toilet. The "Island Meal," made with locally produced food is served at the restaurant. Large bathrooms with hot spring water, as well as our barbecue facilities, are popular among our guests. Our original Japanese sake, "Sado Sen'nen no Sugi (1,000-year-old cedar)," also adds colour to your stay in Sado.

With scenery of the Meotoiwa Rocks (husband and wife rocks), a symbol of Sado's Nanaura Coast, Hotel Meoto stands on the edge of surf. You can walk from the hotel in your swimsuit to the sea with a great scenic landscape, one of the reasons for the hotel's popularity. The glow of the Meotoiwa Rocks in the setting sun and the fires lit on the boats to lure fish at night are extraordinary sights. Famous dishes primarily of seafood are also served at the in-house restaurant at lunch time. Exhibitions on the premises including the display of antiques such as sea chests are also impressive.

Hotel New Katsura is superbly located on the lakeside, close to the sea. Standing on the heights of the Shiizaki Onsen hot spring village, with an abundance of hot spring water, Hotel New Katsura provides large bathrooms for men and women, as well as, two outdoor bathrooms and a private outdoor bath. Baths are also open for day-trip visitors. Hotel New Katsura treats you to meals only available in Sado, prepared using seafood sourced from the local Ryotsu market, Koshihikari rice harvested in the rice paddies in front of the hotel, and the vegetables grown with utmost care by the hotel staff members.

Situated just a five-minute walk from Ogi Port, Hotel Ogi offers single and twin rooms as well as Japanese-style rooms with tatami-mat flooring. Situated on the heights of Kasugazaki, facing the Sea of Japan and "Doyu no Warito" (Sado Gold Mine's famous V-shaped mountain-top split), Hotel Oosado is a new, Japanese-style hotel with well-balanced tasteful elegance and modern functionality. Despite its size, the exceptional efforts of the staff to meet every guest's needs have established an excellent reputation. Hotel Oosado features stunning views of the blue sea from the windows of its spacious restaurant, and of the setting sun from the outdoor bath. Performances featuring Sado's folk songs are held every Saturday from May to October, and all dishes are prepared with Sado's seasonal goodness. Founded in 1912, Hotel Shiiya is the longest-established hotel in Ryotsu, which is nestled at the side of Lake Kamo. The entrance has a large, red parasol, used for outdoor tea ceremony, that evokes a traditional Japanese atmosphere. Flower arrangements dotted around the hotel, among other small touches, offer a sense of hospitality. Generous hospitality is also present in the meal service, which showcases the tastes of Sado with fresh seafood and fruit, among others. Ryotsu Onsen (hot spring water) Bath, known for its skin-beautifying effect, is also popular.

An elegant, seven-story building comes into sight through a pine forest. Yahatakan is a renowned hotel that has welcomed numerous prominent figures and celebrities, such as government officials and members of the Imperial Household, including Emperor Showa. It is located in the central part of Sado and provides an ideal base, for both sightseeing and business. Yahatakan has something for everyone: spacious guest rooms, meals centering around fresh seafood, and flowing, soft-textured Yahata Onsen hot spring waters direct from the source, among others.

Ryoso Minato takes pride in its sea front location, and meals packed full of seafood caught with bag-shaped nets and caught at Takachi Fishing Port. You can enjoy a specialty dish "Ika Somen (literally "squid noodles": fine strips of fresh squid) served with home-made sauce at the restaurant on site. Nyuzaki Beach is located at a 5-minute walk from the inn, where you can enjoy camping and barbecue. The inn is also located close to the Ishige trekking route, and the entry point to the Sado natural cedar trees route. You can simultaneously enjoy the mountains and the sea to your satisfaction.

Isaburo's Residence, known as the house with a unique eave decoration, has opened its doors to the public as an accommodation. The old house of a Sengokubune captain, built in 1892, it is now available for use with its interior in the original format. You can feel a sense of history everywhere in the building, with fan-shaped eave decorations, glossy, amber coloured flooring planks, sooked walls, and lacquered beams and cupboards. You'll enjoy exclusive use of the property during your stay. Isaburo's offers a bed-only package, but the building is fully equipped with a self-catering kitchen.

Iseya Shinkan is a minshuku-style inn (Japanese-style B&B) perfect for holidays and business. The inn welcomes holiday and business travellers with hospitality and is suitable for mid and long-term stays. Iseya Shinkan is located in the Sawata Shopping Street and a beach is also in the neighbourhood. The dinner menu is focused on seasonal seafood landed in Sado, and can be enjoyed in the dining room on site or at "Sakuraya", a sister tapas bar.

Itoya is located close to the seashore in the Mano area. It is a calm retreat with a nostalgic feel. The multi-course dishes made from locally produced seafood, and steak made from Sado Beef, embody the taste of Sado. You can also enjoy a wide selection of dishes at Restaurant & Bar: Kosado, which is attached to the inn. Pamper yourself with Sado's deep-sea water in a lavish Japanese cypress bathtub. Itoya offers high-speed fibre-optic internet connections with wireless LAN on its entire premises, and is popular with business travellers.

Jugetsukan hotel stands at the source of Sumiyoshi Onsen and Shiizaki Onsen hot springs, and offers hot spa bath with a continuous flow of hot spa water from the source. The inn faces the Ryotsu Bay with a view of the car ferries sailing. In front of the inn lies Sumiyoshi Coast known as a sea fishing spot. Meals provided are seafood dishes prepared from scrupulously selected fresh and flavourful ingredients unique to Sado. The sweet taste of Koshihikari rice which is wholeheartedly home-grown and completely granular is exceptionally delicious.

Kanazawaya Ryokan is: - an inn where you can stay even if you come to Sado on the last ferry. - an inn which is conveniently located so you can take the first ferry. - an antique inn with a deep history. A popular inn with great access to the Sado Kisen Ferry Terminal.

A ryokan in the Sawada area that has been in business for about 100 years. It is close to Sawada Beach, which can be seen from the rooms, and can be reached in swimsuits. Currently, the ryokan is open only for overnight stays with no meals. For this reason, the inn has stopped serving home-cooked meals and introduces guests to nearby restaurants such as kappo restaurants that use local ingredients in abundance. Another attraction is the beautiful sunset.

Koicha (Sado dialect for "Come here!") is getting ready to be transformed into brand-new accommodations, so pre-renovation rooms are being offered at reasonable prices. This 3-story building offers 4 single bedrooms, 2 twin rooms, and one twin room with a terrace. The inn also offers a coffee area, Wi-Fi, and a collaborative workspace. Welcome drinks available. Sorry, there is no elevator.

The vast expanse of the sea spreads out before your eyes while behind you stands a backdrop of mountains encasing ancient cedars. A French cuisine chef, the master offers both French food and makes superb use of locally-sourced ingredients to provide a traditional taste of Sado. Kubota Campground is situated in a pine grove by Mano Bay. A shallow beach with calm waters is right in front of your eyes across the street. No cars are permitted on-site, but there is a free parking area in the neighborhood. The campsite has easy access to a shopping street and hot spring facility, and the area along the sea is home to many restaurants, so you will never run out of options for shopping and dining. The location is perfect for those who wish to explore Sado, as well as those who wish to take part in events such as the Sado's Ironman/woman Triathlon or the Sado Long Ride.

Kur means convalescence, treatment and recuperation, and therme refers to the thermal baths in German. As the name suggests, the Kurtherme Sado incorporates German systems as well. You can enjoy various hot spring baths, such as an air bubble bath, a jacuzzi, and neyu (a shallow bath tub to lie down). The bathrooms with high ceilings surrounded by large glass window is amazingly open and spacious. Please fully enjoy the natural hot spring spa fed by a continuous flow of hot spa waters direct from the source in a lush, green environment.

LOHAS inn Koganeso is located in the Hatano area in the Kuninaka Plain at the heart of Sado. You will be welcomed by the lush nature and delicious fruits of the ground and the sea unique to Sado. With a convenience store 5 minutes away, Koganeso is conveniently located for sightseeing and business. Koganeso and the adjoining Hatano Onsen Shosenkaku shares a front desk. The inn guests can utilise the popular hot spring baths with continuous flows of hot spring water from the source at Shosenkaku.

Located close to Sado Kisen's Ryotsu Ferry Terminal, the gateway to Sado, Maruka Ryokan is a convenient inn perfect for fishing, sea bathing and sightseeing. The beautiful view over Lake Kamo in front and Ryotsu Bay at the back makes will leave you enchanted. Dishes made from fresh seafood sourced from Ryotsu Market next door are popular among locals too. Maruka Ryokan also welcomes solo travellers who wish to stay without a meal package, and is also ideal for business travellers.

Matsugasaki History Park is a leisure spot featuring a free campground and a beautiful park perfect for a stroll, with the pure white Konose Lighthouse and the Sea of Japan right before your eyes. In ancient times, the area once flourished as the main gateway to Sado Island from the mainland Echigo (Niigata), and is also known as a landing point of Nichiren Shonin (Buddhist monk) and Zeami (a playwright who perfected the art form of Noh), both of whom were exiled to Sado. Port Observation Point, a re-creation of the Sado Commissioner's Office in the Edo Period (1601 – 1868), offers a sense of ancient culture.

In front of Minami Ryokan lies the spacious Sumiyoshi Coast's sandy beach. The inn has a licence to participate in fish auctions, and seasonal fish is carefully selected at Ryotsu Market every morning. The inn serves dishes wholeheartedly prepared from seasonal, delicious mountain vegetables and Sado-grown rice. The inn also belongs to Niigata Alpine Club, and is an ideal base for trekking and fishing. The owner who loves the nature in Sado will greet you with a warm welcome.

Minshuku Azuma has a view of the calm Maehama coast and the gently ascending lines of the Kosado mountain range. The inn stands in the midst of nature, in the warm south of Sado. The scenic, beautiful inlet of Mushiroba Coast is fascinating. You can feast on home-grown rice and vegetables, fruit (including persimmons), seafood directly sourced from fishermen, and seasonal mountain vegetables. Minshuku Ippuku is a Japanese-style B&B located in Tachibana at Nanaura Coast. The seafood served here, scrupulously selected by the fish connoisseur owner, is sublimely delicious. Minshuku Ippuku is an ideal accommodation for anglers, where they can receive advice on little known, great fishing spots. Okami (the female manager) will greet you with a bright smile and the meals she prepares are delicious and healthy. Macrobiotic meals are also available upon request. Long-stay business travellers repeatedly visit Minshuku Ippuku when they come to Sado.

Located on the Maehama Coast, with a distant view of the mountains in Echigo, Minshuku Kanego is located near a bathing beach within the beauty of Akagame Kazashima Nagisa Park. The surrounding environment, full of nature and spacious, terraced paddy fields on the mountains, is known as the habitat of the last wild Japanese cresited ibis. You will be treated with warm hospitality to fresh seafood caught by the master, a local fisherman, in addition to home-grown Koshihikari rice and vegetables.

Minshuku Nanauraso is situated on the heights overlooking Nanaura Kaigan coast. You can enjoy viewing the setting sun and the fires lit on boats to lure fish at night from your room. Meals prepared with local ingredients, such as homegrown vegetables, offer traditional tastes but, at the same time, feature a variety of style, including Italian flavours. Nanauraso offers a variety of seasonal activity options such as trekking in spring, sea bathing in summer and octopus hunting in autumn. The 24-hour bath is also a popular feature among our guests.

Minshuku Ohana's specialty menu is okonomiyaki (Japanese as-you-like-it savory pancakes) made with Sado's seafood, and cooked by the Osaka-born Okami (female manager). The previous master of the inn was a puppeteer of Noroma Puppets and operated a doll named "Ohana." Upon reservation, and for an additional fee, guests can enjoy a performance by a local puppet theatre group. Situated along the Minami (south) Line bus route and located close to Niibo Dam and Toki Forest Park, Minshuku Ohana is a homey inn with a great location.
